AI Voiceover for Product Videos
Give your launch film a clear, natural voice without booking a studio. Spotlight writes the narration from your product, voices it from a large library of natural voices, and mixes it with music and sound effects.
What AI voiceover does
Narration turns a sequence of screens into an explanation. Without it, viewers have to work out what they’re looking at; with it, each scene has a reason to be there. Spotlight’s AI voiceover for product videos handles the parts that usually make narration hard: writing a script that fits the visuals, finding a voice that suits your brand, and mixing it properly.
The AI director writes the narration as it plans the film, using your Product Profile — audience, pain points, benefits and tone of voice — and what it sees in your screenshots and recordings. You choose a voice from a large library of natural voices from ElevenLabs. Music is ducked automatically under the voice, and the final mix is loudness-normalised to -14 LUFS, a common target for social platforms.
How it works
- Build or pick a Product Profile from your URL. Its tone of voice guides the script.
- Generate the first cut. The AI director writes narration scene by scene, matched to what’s on screen.
- Choose a voice. Browse the library and preview voices against your own script.
- Edit the words. Change any line yourself, or ask the AI to rewrite a scene (“shorter”, “less jargon”, “more confident”).
- Add music and effects. Generate instrumental music from a brief, or upload your own track; add whooshes, clicks and pops where they help.
- Export. Voice, music and effects are mixed, ducked and normalised in the 1080p MP4.
What you control
- Script — every line, in every scene.
- Voice — choose from a large library of natural voices.
- Music — AI-generated instrumental music from a written brief, or your own upload.
- Sound effects — synthesised whoosh, click, pop and more.
- Pacing — scene timing and the film’s overall pacing, so the visuals and narration line up.
- Captions — burned in, plus a downloadable .srt. See auto captions for product videos.
Who it’s for
Founders who don’t want to record their own voice, non-native speakers who want a clear read in English, product marketers who need consistent narration across a series of feature announcements, and agencies who need a different voice per client. It suits any launch where the viewer is likely to have sound on — YouTube, a landing page play button, an investor demo or a sales email.
Tips for better narration
- Write for the ear. Short sentences, one idea each. Read it aloud — if you run out of breath, split it.
- Don’t describe what’s obvious. “Here is the dashboard” wastes a line; “See every overdue invoice at a glance” earns it.
- Match voice to audience. A calm, measured voice for finance or health; a brighter one for consumer apps.
- Leave room to breathe. Let a zoom or result land before the next line starts.
- Check names and jargon. Listen for how the voice pronounces your product name and technical terms, and adjust the spelling in the script if needed.
- Plan for sound-off viewers too. On social, many people watch muted — keep captions on.
